Hail up to 2 inches in diameter, thunderstorms with dangerous ligthning and wind gusts to 70 mph are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms. People in the watch area should be on the lookout for threatening weather, watch for updates and take shelter if necessary.

Depending on where rain from the storm falls, flood waters for the East Fork of the White could be aggravated.

The river crested at 20.92 feet at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Seymour and continues to slowly fall.

It was at 18.6 feet at 2 p.m. Monday. Flood stage at Seymour is 12 feet.

An expiration for the flash flood watch was not given.
