Federal employees will continue to operate a Disaster Recovery Center in Seymour today through Sunday.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., including Friday, the July Fourth holiday.

Federal Emergency Management Agency, Small Business Administration and American Red Cross officials will be on hand to assist flood victims with paperwork aimed at determining whether they are eligible for disaster relief from the June 8 flooding that hit Jackson County.

The center is at the Jackson County Education Center, the former Seymour-Jackson Elementary School on South Poplar Street.

Flood victims wanting to register or who have questions about assistance should enter JCEC from the back entrance off Lynn Street. Signs are posted in the area to direct people to the right location.
