COMMISKEY - A Jennings County man was arrested Tuesday after police found cultivated marijuana at a resident, Indiana State Police said Wednesday.

A lengthy investigation conducted by the Indiana State Police Marijuana Eradication Team, in cooperation with officers from North Vernon Police Department, led to a search warrant being issued for 3835 W. County Road 600 South in Jennings County.

Troopers from the Indiana State Police Seymour Post along with Jennings County Sheriff's Department deputies executed the search warrant Tuesday morning. Numerous marijuana plants, processed marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized from the residence along with a handgun, Sgt. Donald Gregory said.

Jason E. Farris, 28, of Commiskey was taken into custody at the residence without incident. He has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance and has a bond of $1,550.

Officers said as a result of the investigation additional arrests are expected to be made in the near future.
