Man accused of molesting disabled girl
Comments 0 | Recommend 0SCIPIO - A 53-year-old Scipio man faces three charges related to an investigation into a report of child molesting Friday.
According to a report from Jennings County Officer Karen McCoy, the arrest of Dallas G. Burton occurred after he confessed to molesting a girl somewhere between 17 and 19 years ago, police said. At the time, the girl, who is mentally and physically handicapped, was believed to have been 13 years old, police said.
Burton was arrested and faces charges of criminal deviate conduct, a Class B felony; child molesting, a Class C felony; and sexual battery, a Class D felony.
He was booked into the Jennings County Jail in Vernon at 4 p.m. Friday and was being held on $75,550 bond Sunday.
