Jackson County under flash flood warning Thursday night
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Jackson County is under a flash flood warning Thursday night with a possibility of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
The East Fork of the White River was at 6.12 feet at 6 p.m. Thursday and preparing to start rising because of rainfall north and northeast of Jackson County.
The river is expected to crest at 8.4 feet Sunday afternoon.
Flood stage at Seymour is 12 feet.
Some thunderstorms Thursday night were expected to produce heavy rain with between a half inch and three quarters of an inch possible.
Independence Day was expected to bring showers and thunderstorms, with some of the storms possibly producing heavy rain.
Friday night brings a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
