Mayor releases appointees to police review board
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Responding to an Indiana Public Records Law request submitted by The Tribune, Seymour Mayor Craig Luedeman released Thursday names of the Seymour Police Complaint Review Board.
Members are Assistant Police Chief Craig Hayes, Lt. Jack Hauer, Seymour Common Councilman Lloyd Hudson and citizen members Mike Williams and Melissa Capps.
Williams' term expires in 2010, and Capps' term expires in 2009.
Williams was appointed by the Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce, and Capps was appointed by Jackson County Human Resources, a group of human resources managers in the county.
The review board will meet as necessary to hear written complaints about officers that are submitted to Seymour Police Chief Bill Abbott.
In the past, the police review board consisted only of the assistant chief, an officer and member of the city council. The board was expanded to include two citizen members last year.
