MAn 18-year-old Seymour man faces two counts of child molesting after separate incidents reported by a 12-year-old girl's father to police Monday night.

Corey A. Quick, 18, of Orchard Drive was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Quick was being held on $50,005 bond Wednesday afternoon after his arrest on child molesting charges.

Detective Troy Munson with Seymour Police Department said the child molesting charges were Class B felonies, punishable by eight to 20 years in prison, because Quick is younger than 21.

Munson said Wednesday afternoon the girl told investigators she and Quick had consensual sexual intercourse two times over this past weekend. Quick also told police it was consensual.

"But it can't be consensual until you're 14," Munson said of present state statute.

Munson said one of the incidents occurred at the girl's home and the second at Quick's home.

Seymour Officer John Newcomb investigated the incident, which was reported by the girl's father on Monday night.
