2.41 inches of rain fall on Seymour
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Seymour received 2.41 inches of rain Wednesday, swelling area rivers, creeks and ditches.
But the East Fork of the White River isn't expected to flood as a result, National Weather Service Observer Ruth Everhart of Rockford said this morning.
The river was rising from 7.08 feet at 7 a.m. today.
"Vernon and Greensburg got a bit of rain too, but Indianapolis said they don't think we'll hit flood stage (at 12 feet)," Everhart said of the weather service.
Jackson County Sheriff's Department had no reports of flooded roads this morning.
More rain is in the forecast today. There's a chance of rain Friday and Saturday.
The high Wednesday reached 72 degrees, and the overnight low was 59.
