Jackson County Plan Commission will review an application for a special exception when members meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the courthouse annex in Brownstown.

Vance E. Darlage of rural Seymour wants permission to operate a sawmill at 5600 E. 800N in Hamilton Township.

The proposed duration of use was described “as long as feasible.”

The land is zoned A-1 for agriculture purposes. The application listed George Mellencamp and Darlage Investment LLC as landlords of the proposed sawmill.
