Outlook for the economy topic of IUPUC session
Comments 0 | Recommend 0COLUMBUS — IUPUC will offer its annual Economic Outlook Breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. Friday in the Columbus Learning Center’s Lecture Hall.
The breakfast, in cooperation with Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce, IUPUC Alumni Association and the IU Kelley School of Business, will cost $15 for Columbus Area Chamber members and IUPUC Alumni Association members and $25 for the public.
At the breakfast, Indiana University Kelley School of Business economists will give their best predictions for the national, state and local economies.
Panelists will include James Smith, John Boquist, Bill Witte and Michael Oakes.
Smith, senior lecturer in finance for the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis, will present the state forecast.
Boquist, Edward E. Edwards Professor of Finance for the Kelley School of Business, will discuss the financial forecast.
Witte, co-director of the Center for Econometric Model Research and associate professor emeritus of economics at Indiana University, will focus on the global and U.S. forecasts.
Oakes, senior lecturer in finance for the IUPUC Division of Business, will present the local forecast.
Moderator will be Jeff Hittler, business lecturer for the IUPUC Division of Business.
