Comments 0

VALLONIA — Fort Vallonia Days Festival Committee received permission from Jackson County Board of Commissioners to close a number of streets this weekend for the annual Fort Vallonia Days festival.

The festival is set for Saturday and Sunday in the Driftwood Township community. It celebrates the town‘s pioneer heritage and serves a homecoming celebration.

Also approved by commissioners was closing a section of Main Street in Vallonia on Oct. 24 for the Fort Vallonia Coon Hunters auction, hog roast and live entertainment from noon to 10 p.m.

Main Street will be between Water and Poplar streets for the event.
