North Vernon woman faces multiple charges
Comments 0 | Recommend 0NVERNON — A North Vernon woman faces several charges after being arrested late Thursday.
Cindy Waskom-Smith, 47, was arrested after deputies received a report from a concerned citizen at 10:36 p.m. of a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Indiana 7 from the Dupont area.
Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and stopped the driver for several violations, police said.
Waskom-Smith was arrested on Class D felony charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule II drug, possession of Schedule IV drug and violation of Legend Drug Act, as well as Class A misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, reckless possession of marijuana and operating while intoxicated-controlled substance.
