Musician Don Pedigo’s music video “Mama’s Wedding Gown” has advanced into the Sweet 16 of CMT’s Music City Madness music video contest.

“I really just want to thank my hometown for supporting me and their votes. I know with their continued support I am going to win,” Pedigo, a native of Freetown, said.

Pedigo is now featured on the Sweet 16 portion of the contest Web site, www.madness.cmt.com. There, fans may watch videos from songs Pedigo said have inspired him.

Pedigo’s video, which was made in Broad Ripple, has succeeded through two previous elimination rounds.

The Sweet 16 is the third of six rounds in the contest.

Round three runs through 1 p.m. local time Monday, according to contest rules.

To watch the video, go to the Web site and click on “Vote” on the left side of the page; from there click on the Jimmy Wayne image (third from left), click “Start” and then click on “Don Pedigo” in the bracket.

To vote for Pedigo, click the orange “Vote” button underneath his video; after voting, click “Submit Your Votes” underneath the video section on the same page.

According to the contest Web site, the winning artist will “travel to Nashville to record their own CMT Studio 330 Sessions, play a private showcase with A&R executives at Valory Music and have a once-in-a-lifetime backstage experience with country superstar Reba.”
