People need to be involved in youth, voting

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

To the Editor:

I do have to agree with a recent guest writer column by Dick Rumph concerning alcohol, youth and our community.

But the sad part about this is, we can't get a decent percent of the people to vote. Just like schoolwork. When kids don't learn, they blame the teachers, and when kids drink, they blame somebody else, too.

Teachers can't make kids do homework, and the police can't make kids stop drinking. Parents have to do that, just like their homework.

He said all those people should have been there for that meeting, I can't wait to see how many of them come to vote. Bet the percentage will only be slightly higher.
