Writer seeks photos of area's train wrecks

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

To the Editor:

I am currently finishing a two volume photo history of Indiana train wrecks. I am writing as I am looking for a few more photos so that as many communities as possible can be included. This has been a 10-year process and I have already acquired over 3,000 photos.

The books will be printed in two volumes. Number 1 being the steam era which will cover up to about 1950. The second volume covers the modern era from 1950 to the present.

Anyone who contributes photos will receive credit in the books. Anyone with photos that I can use can send them to: Book Project, P.O. Box 272, Salem, IN 47167.

Or I can be e-mailed at capt_graves@peoplec.com

It will display all of your contributions and allow you to track issues and easily connect with others.

We want our site to be a place where people discuss and debate ideas that foster stronger communities. We built this for you. Please take care of it. Tolerate broad thinking, but take action against obscene or hateful material. Make it a credible and safe place worth preserving and sharing.
