Resident awaits response to his questions

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

To the Editor:

In August, I wrote an e-mail to Indiana 9th District Rep. Baron Hill asking two specific questions. I asked if he would initiate legislation to allow health insurance to be sold across state lines. I also asked if he would initiate legislation on tort reform to bring down doctors’ malpractice insurance.

Each of these would bring down the cost of health care and health insurance more than any of the current legislation being shoved at us by Congress.

I asked in the e-mail that he not respond to me with a form letter, which is usually what I get in response to my e-mail to him. I asked that if he did not wish to specifically address the two questions I was asking that he not waste my time, his time and our tax money sending a form letter.

It is now halfway through October and I haven’t heard a word from him.

Ken Mumaw
Seymour, Ind.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Katie Moreau of Rep. Baron Hill's office said an attempt to contact Murmaw was made Oct. 7. She said she would attempt to do so again.)
