Thumbs up to the Seymour High School boys cross country team on winning the Bedford North Lawrence Invitational. The Owls placed four runners in the top seven spots.

Thumbs up to Edgar Hackman of Seymour. He was recently honored by the Indiana State Fair Board after completing eight years of service to the board. Hackman, a retired teacher from Seymour Community Schools, was also active many years with the Jackson County Fair.

Thumbs up to Mackenzie Klaes of Seymour. The Seymour High School senior is raising awareness about breast cancer through her participation with the American Miss pageant.

Thumbs up to the Brownstown Central High School Lady Braves volleyball team, winners of the recent Seymour Tournament. Class 2A Brownstown went 4-0 against Class 4A competitors to win the tournament championship. They played the Seymour Owls in the title match.
