State police post at Seymour should stay open

To the Editor:

Consolidating the Indiana State Police Post at Seymour with Versailles is about the most moronic thing I have heard here in recent years.

It is one of the most valuable posts in the state. It covers a vital north-south interstate corridor. Anyone heard of Interstate 65?

If Indianapolis were to close this post they would be doing the drug cartels a major favor, not to mention illegal aliens in Seymour.

If anything the state should build a new state police post out by the outlet mall to give them better access to I-65.
