Woman thanks those helping with her dog

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who stopped their cars and came out of buildings on West Tipton Street around the Pizza Palace and businesses in that area to help get my Chow out of the middle of U.S. 50.

Traffic was stopped on all four lanes and people were trying to get my dog, Sassi, out of the street. I pulled up and finally she heard me and her face showed that happy look with her tail wagging and she came and got in the car.

Thanks to all who tried to help and who stopped. You all were great and really appreciated.
