Trucks parked on Second Street make it unsafe
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Editor:
I travel Second Street quite often and I really can't think of any type of street parking more hazardous than diagonal parking. You back out totally blind.
I realize getting that changed will probably be next to impossible.
However, if there are no vehicle length restrictions in place, there needs to be. I refer to extension cab full length (8 ft.) bed pickups. When they park on Second or any other street with diagonal parking, moving traffic must cross the center line. If the tailgate is down, you're halfway over in the opposite lane. Need I say more? A very unsafe scenario.
