Walks, streets need attention from officials

To the Editor:

I would like to know why there aren't any sidewalks all the way around Gaiser Park? I have just about gotten hit by a car because I had to walk in the street, especially on the south side.

I would like to also address the worst intersection in town, at O'Brien and Tipton streets. So many people have gotten hurt there. Can't they fix this problem before someone dies?

I also would like to say that I agree with the letter from Ken Smith that appeared April 11 in The Tribune, saying  Community Drive should not be named for John Mellenencamp.
