County child services workers are dedicated
Comments 0 | Recommend 0To the Editor:
I would like to say a thank you to the hard-working people of the Jackson County Department of Child Services. I've had the privilege of working with them for more than three years.
Their job is to ensure that children are being well-cared for and not being neglected or abused, either physical or sexual.
If children are removed from the home, there is a reason for doing so.
There are a wide variety of services available to help children as well as parents to be reunited.
Their job is not an 8 to 5 work day. They spend countless hours in the evening and on weekends doing visitations and other activities associated with their cases. If you call and they are not there, there is a very good chance they are either on the phone, at court or out in the field working.
There is also ongoing training that they are involved with. They have many children on their case load and care about every single one of them.
I appreciate all of their hard work and I say, "thank you."
