SELLERSBURG —Golfers on the PGA Tour and local and national celebrities will converge for the 2009 Magnolia Health Systems Wolf Challenge Sunday and Monday at Fuzzy Zoeller’s Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg.

Chris Baker of Brownstown, who is a graduate of Brownstown Central High School and Iowa State University and played golf for both schools, will be among those playing in Sunday’s pro-am celebrity tournament.

Baker, a professional golfer, will be joined by players from the PGA Champions Tour and local and national celebrities, including Dante Basoc, Cornelius Bennett, Junior Bridgeman, Tyler Christopher, Ray Donaldson, Brian Evans, Rick George, Jon Hand, Cris Judd, Richard Karn, Bob Kevoian, Kristi Lee, Jimmy “Mad Dog” Matis, Walter McCarty, Oliver Miller, Jack Newman, Scott Padgett, Mel Purcell, Dave Ragone, Jed Rhein, Jeff Walz, Chris Weinke, Byron William and John York.

On Monday, during the annual Wolf Challenge, Zoeller, John Daly, Boo Weekley and Rocco Mediate will be among the professionals playing.

The Wolf foursome will wear microphones all 18 holes and compete using the interactive Wolf format. Another feature will be Fuzzy’s Revue, which is a one-hour clinic put on by the Wolf foursome on the driving range prior to teeing off Monday morning.

The annual tournament is for Zoeller’s children’s charity work, which he does for the Kentuckiana area and nationally.

Over the past 12 years and with the help of numerous sponsors and volunteers, Zoeller’s event has helped raise more than $1.6 million for children’s charities. Throughout the year, Zoeller partners with corporations and conducts numerous outings all over North America to raise funds for children’s charities.

All ticket holders will have a chance to qualify for a $1 million hole in one attempt onsite at Covered Bridge during the event. They also will receive a special discounted rate to play Covered Bridge and Champions Pointe Golf Club, which is a Fuzzy Zoeller course near Henryville.
