Seymour girls learn cheers, tumbling
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A total of 129 Seymour girls learned new cheers and cheerleading skills last week while attending the Seymour Owls Cheerleader Camp at Seymour High School.
Camp director Carol Lambring said the campers learned dance, jumps, stunts and tumbling during the three-day camp.
"Cheerleading has really changed over the past several years," Lambring said. "Tumbling has really become important."
Seymour's national championship varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders worked with the campers and presented certificates to all the campers.
Results
Mental attitude winners:
Kindergarten: Kirby Hill, Morgan Jones, Cali Cummings.
First grade: Emma Speer, Kylee Wischmeier.
Second grade: Sidney Hoene.
Third grade: Shelby Stuckwisch.
Fourth grade: Tatum Veatch.
Fifth grade: Alexis Anders.
Eighth grade, all awards: dance-Ariana Abbott, spirit-Makenzi Hensley, chants-Charlcie Hearn, tumble-Abbott, Alex Davis, Kelly Deppen.
