Registration set for Enter His Courts

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Sign-ups for the Enter His Courts basketball league will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, 311 Myers Lane, Seymour.

Sign-up forms can be printed from enterhiscourts.org and either mailed in or brought to the sign-up location.

The entry fee in Seymour will be $30 before Nov. 8 and $35 for those postmarked after Nov. 8. Payment arrangements are available, and scholarships to play in the six-week league also are available upon request.

The league is open to all boys and girls ages 5 to 22. Five-year-olds must bring a copy of their birth certificate to the sign-up locations showing proof that they are 5 or will turn 5 by Feb. 24, 2010.

Teams will be divided by grade/gender, with the 5-year-olds possibly playing in the kindergarten grade grouping if numbers dictate.

Dates for league play are on Saturdays (Jan. 16, 23, 30; Feb. 6, 13, 20; Feb. 27 is a snow date). Each child will receive a T-shirt and a trophy or medal for participating in the league.

If you are interested in becoming one of the volunteer coaches, scorekeepers or greeters for this year’s league, contact Tim Goodpaster at 498-0249 or enterhiscourts@comcast.net.
