Blue Streaks qualify for USSSA worl series

COLUMBUS - The Indiana Blue Streaks won the USSSA Columbus Youth Classic World Series Qualifier in Columbus on Sunday, May 4.
The Blue Streaks went 2-1 in pool play, losing to the Louisville Stunners 12-1 and beating the Indian Creek Arrows 2-1 and the Louisville Livewire 17-0.
Bracket play started Sunday morning with the Blue Steaks beating the Livewire 2-1, Indy Thunder 3-2 and the Louisville Stunners 3-1 for the championship.
The Blue Streaks were lead by pitchers Molly Crowe, Shannah Hercamp, and Jennifer Stinson. Defensively leaders were Shelby Lucas, Devon Joray, and Logan Personett.
Offensively the Blue Streaks were lead by Kelsey Nolting, Personett, Lucas, Ann Bandy, Crowe, Hannah Fisher, and Michelle Litchfield.
Head Coach Eddie Loweth said "this was a real team championship. Everyone contributed to this one, we had some players step up, we had kids come up with some big hits in crucial situations."
The Indiana Blue Streaks are already qualified for the USSSA World Series, which will be played in Hutchinson, Kansas in July
