Owls win
SALEM - Seymour split a pair of three-set matches, and won No. 1 and 3 singles, and No. 1 doubles in straight sets to even its season record at 6-6.
Coach Brad Emerson said, "We didn't play our best tennis. We played good enough to win. They were not real strong, and we seemed to play down to our competition.
"Hopefully this will give them some confidence going into their match at Columbus East."

Cougars win
"The girls had a great match," coach Joan Nichols said as her team won its first varsity match of the season.
"Kelly (Thiessen) had a good win at No. 1, winning in straight sets. It's good to have her back and in good health after recovering from an ankle injury earlier in the season.
Brittany (Pottschmidt) pulled off another win in three sets at No. 2 singles, and our doubles teams both looked good in winning in straight sets."
The Cougars, 1-7, will travel to Waldron today.
Braves lose
BROWNSTOWN - The Braves won both doubles, but lost the singles matches in straight sets and fell to 4-9 overall and 3-5 in the Mid Southern,
Coach Erik Standland said, "We played much better. Our douvbles teams really played well.
"Stephanie (Martin) played the best match she's played all year. She won some games off her opponent and gained some confidence."
BC will play host to Eastern today in their final MSC match of the season.
