‘God-detector’ unneeded to find Holy Spirit; it’s always there

A God-detector is someone or something that indicates the presence of God in a place or a person. Since God is invisible, we need some kind of detector, don’t we?

Paul refers to a God-detector in 1 Corinthians 14:25. Paul said a man might enter a Spirit-filled church, then “fall down and worship God, exclaiming, ‘God is really among you.’”

Some Christians think they have a special ability to detect the presence of the divine in any church or person. You’ll hear them say, “The Spirit is here” or “The Spirit is not here.”
