A Jennings County man accused of violating his probation faces new drug-related charges after his arrest Wednesday, a police report said.
Michael J. Bates, 58, of North Vernon, faces Class D felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and violation of the Legend Drug Act along with charges of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, harboring a fugitive and assisting a criminal.
The charges of harboring a fugitive and assisting a criminal against Bates stem from the arrest of Holley Kramer, 28, of Clarksville. She was arrested when a warrant was served at Bates' residence at 315 Hickory Way in Country Squire Lakes. Kramer was wanted on a charge of criminal trespassing.
