23 indicted in alleged drug ring

A Seymour man was among 23 people indicted and arrested in connection with an alleged drug-trafficking operation stretching from Indianapolis to Seymour and North Vernon.

U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Hogsett announced the indictments and arrests on Thursday.

The main indictment issued Thursday charged 16 defendants with participating in the activities of a methamphetamine distribution organization, Hogsett’s office reported. Seven others were arrested earlier.
