Three Lawrence County men face burglary and theft charges in connection with an investigation in Jackson County, police report.

Daniel Bailey, 25, Reed Crane, 24, and Justin L. Kenney, 25, all of Bedford, recently were arrested after a five-week investigation, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff Michael Carothers.

The investigation that led to their arrests began after county Officer Jeff Walters responded to the report of a residential burglary on Sept. 13 in the 11400 block of West County Road 100N in the far western part of Jackson County.

Detective Tom Barker, who headed the investigation, said police continue to work to recover items from the burglary.

Kenney turned himself in at the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 3:36 p.m. Thursday. He was released at 4:05 p.m. Thursday after posting a $50,000 bond.

Bailey was arrested in late September on a Jackson Circuit Court warrant and remains jailed in Brownstown. Crane was arrested in Lawrence County, where he remains because of unrelated charges there as well as the Jackson County charges, Barker said.

Bailey’s trial has been set for 8:30 a.m. Feb. 12 at Jackson Circuit Court in Brownstown. No date has been set for trials for Crane or Kenney.

Barker was assisted by county detectives Robert Lucas and Rick Blaker Jr.
