Three airlifted after collision

REDDINGTON

Three people were airlifted to regional hospitals following a multi-vehicle accident on U.S. 31 in northern Jackson County, according to the Indiana State Police.

The wreck was reported at 5:25 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Noel Houze with the Versailles Post said.

A northbound 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Michael L. Grissom, 56, of Westport, was preparing to turn left into a private drive. It was hit in the rear end by a northbound 2004 Buick LeSabre driven by Eric W. Peery, 38, of Elizabethtown near Jackson County Road 975N.
