Eight Jackson County 4-H members and two chaperones recently spent three days at Purdue University for the annual 4-H Round-Up.

The event is a conference for 4-H members from Indiana’s 92 counties.

The conference is an opportunity for 4-H members to meet and make new friends with youth, live on Purdue University’s campus and experience life in a residence hall and participate in career exploration classes with college faculty and staff.

Keynote speakers for this year’s conference were Scott Hannah and Tyler Gregory, national spokesmen for the Great American NO BULL Challenge. According to a news release, the two were inspired by the suicide of a bullied friend and embarked on a life-changing journey. They started a movement in their Ohio school and made a video in order to take a stand against bullying.
