6 arrested following drug investigation at home



VERNON

Six area residents face drug charges related to an investigation into possible illegal activity at a North Vernon area residence.

The six are Paul S. Napier, 38; Hervey L. Randall, 47; Chay McGuire, 23; Katrina Randall, 46; and Christopher Smith, 49; all of North Vernon; and Goldie Reed, 30, of Columbus. They were arrested Wednesday at a residence in the 3000 block of West County Road 200N and booked into the Jennings County Jail.

According to a news release from North Vernon police public information officer Justin Black, they were arrested after officers served a search warrant at the home around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

During the search, officers seized two firearms, an undisclosed amount of money, two anhydrous ammonia tanks, a meth lab and an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine, Black said. Three children, all younger than 2, also were at the residence, he said.
