6 from county vye for queen’s crown at cancer benefit

The 42nd annual Phi Beta Psi, Theta Omega chapter, cancer benefit gala dinner and dance “Glitz and Glamour” is slated for Feb. 1 at Pewter Hall, 850 W. Sweet St., Brownstown.

The Third Generation Band from Indianapolis will provide the entertainment. Tickets cost $30 per person or $60 per couple and can be obtained from any sorority member.

During the gala, the winner of the 2014 cancer dance queen title will be announced. The winner is the girl who raises the most money, at a penny a vote, for the organization. Anyone wishing to make a donation may contact any of the queen candidates. Each girl is to put decorated cans out at businesses for a penny vote.
