Tribune photo by Aaron Piper / Adonna Combs of Columbus holds a canvas for Justin, a painting horse. %u2018Justin used to draw in the sand with my riding crop, so I just taped a brush to the crop,%u2019 Combs said. Justin%u2019s work is on display at Southern Indiana Center for the Arts through June 30.

Tribune photo by Aaron Piper / Bridey Jacobi, Seymour, left, Brooke Reasoner, Seymour, and her daughter, Karsen Reasoner, look through the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts gallery displaying Justin%u2019s work. Justin is a purebred Friesian horse that paints. All of his work is signed with a horse-print in the paint.

Bold strokes of teal, orange and silver acrylic paint cover the canvas.

A few horseshoe prints are stamped across the abstract painting as well, but that’s just because most artists like to sign their work.

Justin the Artistic Horse is no different.
