Agencies unite in battle against drugs

Babies born hooked on drugs. Men and women seeking pain medications.

Increased use of heroin and the ever-prevalent use of methamphetamine.

A problem that plagues communities across Indiana — including Jackson County — brought area doctors, local officials and people engaged in the fight against substance abuse together Thursday night.

Forty people attended “Call to Action” at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour to break down where the problem exists and how can it be stopped — or at least fought.
