Nine dollars doesn’t sound like much, but for Lori Foster of Seymour and her family, it’s food on their table.

Getting by on their monthly food stamps allotment has never been easy, and with federal cuts to the program made Nov. 1, it’s become even more difficult, Foster said.

Her family, which includes two teenage children, receives $391 a month in benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamps.
