A 35-year-old Jackson County man’s bid to elude capture ended after a short pursuit Sunday night in Seymour, police report.

According to a press release from Seymour Police Department, Harold Angus Douglas of Seymour was arrested after the chase ended in an alley near Second and Blish streets.

That pursuit began around 8:50 p.m. Sunday when Officer Matt Carver and Cpl. Bart Beavers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Noble and Hancock streets on the city’s southeast side.
