Baker makes cut in 3 golf tournaments in July

Brownstown native Chris Baker recently made the cut and played all four days in three recent Tour events, but he missed the cut in the Midwest Classic.

The latter tournament was Thursday through Sunday at Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate in Overland Park, Kansas. Baker had rounds of 70 and 76. Zack Sucher finished at 19-under 265 and won by three strokes.

In the Nova Scotia Open July 3 through 6 at Ashburn Golf Club in Canada, Baker came back from his first-round 74 with 67 to advance. He then shot 79 and 76 for a four-day total of 12-over 296 and tied for 81st.
