Stacy Robbins and Anita Gault will teach beginners how to weave a “Wine for the Hostess” basket this month.

The class will start at 9:30 a.m Oct. 27 in the Seymour Library meeting room.

Cost of the program, offered to adults and teens, is $25 for supplies. There is a limit of 12 students.

The class may last until 4 p.m. but may end earlier if baskets are completed.

Each attendee should bring a sack lunch. Drinks are provided.

A weaver’s kit will be available for purchase if there is interest.

All materials are

furnished, including two glass oil and vinegar bottles and a bright red chili pepper pottery tie-on.

Instructors also are furnishing all buckets and tools to borrow to make the basket. Students do not need to bring anything but lunch to class.

Former Seymour Library basket-making instructor Bev Rust taught Robbins and Gault to make baskets. They have taken many advanced classes since then.
