Bedford North Lawrence snags third win of season in walkoff fashion against Seymour

Seymour’s softball team built a 3-0 lead in Tuesday’s season-opener on the road before Bedford North Lawrence tied the score in the bottom of the fifth inning.

With two outs and a runner on second base in the bottom of the seventh inning, BNL blooped the ball over second base to bring in the winning run. The Stars moved to 3-0 on the season with a 4-3 win.

Seymour played errorless ball, while BNL committed six errors.

Each team had six hits. Emily Bobb and Shelby Stephens each had two to lead the Owls (0-1). One of Stephens’ hits was a double, and she had the team’s only RBI.
