Bedford shuts out Seymour in Little League title game

Dennis Dunn, For The Tribune/ Seymour's Alan Perry, left, makes a sliding catch in the infield as second baseman Ty McCory looks on during Tuesday's Little League district tournament championship game at Bedford.

When the Seymour 14-year-old Little League all-star team met Bedford last week in pool play, Bedford claimed the 11-2 win.

On Tuesday night, the teams met in the championship game at BNL Field, and Bedford won again 5-0 to advance to the state tournament.

Bedford scored all five runs in only two innings. Seymour had a couple of opportunities to score but couldn’t get the big hit at the right time.
