The hopes of Seymour’s 12-year-old Little League all-star team bringing home the District 12 championship came up short Monday night when Bedford held on for a 15-12 win.

Seymour got off to a great start by scoring five runs in the top of the first inning. Seymour had five hits in the inning as Jake Roberts and Brandon Terrell drove in runs with singles, and Sam Schmidt doubled with the bases loaded to drive in three runs.

Bedford scored three runs in the third inning to close the difference to 5-4, and then came up with six hits to score six runs in the fourth inning. Roy McCall hit a two-run homer, and Garrett Watson hit a solo home run.
