Bikers to hit road for pair of worthy causes

Two weekend motorcycle rides will raise money for cancer research and help a southern Indiana community’s elementary school continue to rebuild after being destroyed by a tornado last spring.

The fifth annual Bayon’s Believers Ride will take off Saturday from Dan’s Cycle Sales, 903 W. Tipton St., Seymour. It is staged in memory of Lauren Bayon Brown, who died in 2009 at the age of 2 from brain cancer. She was the daughter of Shawn Brown and Amy Bechelli, both of Seymour.

Sarah Whipker of Seymour organizes the ride each year to keep Bayon’s memory alive and to provide funding for cancer research to help find a cure.
