Birding activities offered at refuge, recreation area



Bird Jackson County will be this weekend.

Activities will be at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge east of Seymour and Starve Hollow State Recreation Area near Vallonia.

Guided vehicle tours of bird viewing will be at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from the Jackson County Courthouse in Brownstown. The program will focus on migrating sandhill cranes and nesting bald eagles.
