4-classroom early-learning wing design approved; total cost of construction project about $2 million

Kindergarten students at Margaret R. Brown Elementary School will have more room to learn and play next school year.

The Seymour Community School Corp. board of trustees has approved a design option from Kovert Hawkins architects that will add four classrooms and two group restrooms to the northeast corner of the building.

Superintendent Rob Hooker said the addition will serve as an early-learning wing, similar to the recently completed expansion at Emerson Elementary School.
