NORMAN

Jackson County Water Utility issued a boil water advisory Tuesday for customers in the west central part of Jackson County.

The advisory is the result of an outage that occurred Tuesday in the Norman and Zelma areas, according to a news release from the Brownstown-based utility.

The outage occurred when a pipe broke, Joe Miller of the utility said Tuesday afternoon.
