What are you reading right now?

I just downloaded “Lincoln’s Little Girl” by Cecelia Holland.

What genre do you like the most? Why?

Historical fiction, mysteries, young adult fiction; I like anything that catches my interest and moves along fast.

What is your favorite book(s) of

I have so many, but my favorite from my latest read books is “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green. The book made me laugh out loud and cry and sometimes at the same time!

Recommend a book to our readers.

Anything written by John Green. John Green is my favorite author. He is an Indiana author. His books are for young adults, but I think adults will enjoy. He is a very smart writer and understands young adults. I would recommend high school guys or girls to check out a John Green book. “The Fault in Our Stars” reminds me to live every day to the fullest. Also reminds me the importance of friendships.

When is your favorite time of the day to read and where do you like to read?

I read every morning while exercising on the elliptical. I am guaranteed 30 minutes of reading, and it makes exercising bearable. Also I am lucky I have a job that allows me to read during my workday.

Why do you love to read?

I love to read to children because most children love to be read to. Most children become very calm while listening to a book. Reading has taught me so many things in my life. Finally, reading is a great escape.

Do you prefer reading books, downloading e-books or listening to books on tape?

Having a “physical” book is important when reading to your children. It is great for motor skills and lays the foundation for them to become a good reader. Reading to your children is one of my top five musts to being a good parent. E-books are great for always having a book on the go. I carry my e-reader in my purse so I can always read if I have an extra minute. I love being able to change the font size on an e-reader. Audio books/podcasts are fantastic for long car or plane trips.
