Borden won No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles in straight sets and managed to pull out a three-setter at No. 1 singles on Monday for a 3-2 tennis win at home against Brownstown Central.
Brownstown’s points came from Cole Borden at No. 2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-3, and Mason McClure and Lute Lahrman at No. 2 doubles, winning 6-1, 6-4.
In the No. 1 singles match, Borden’s Josh Vollstedt won the first set 6-4 before Chaz Schneider won by that score in the second set. Vollstedt then pulled out a 6-3 win.
